Learn how it works!
Step 1 - Sowing

In phenolic foams, which differ from the foams that we usually know to be more porous and facilitate the absorption of water and nutrients, pelleted seeds (seeds covered with treated clay and of different colors according to the producer) are placed, which already have nutrients necessary for the germination.

They are hydrated every 15 minutes during the day and 2 times at dawn.

Step 2 - Nursery

Soon after the implosion of the pelletized seeds and the appearance of the first leaves, the foams are placed on a different stand that receives water with the addition of nutrients (such as phosphorus, nitrogen, potassium, calcium and magnesium) to grow.

Step 3 - Growth

The seedlings are transferred to stands, where they receive a greater amount of nutrients and obey a spacing between them according to the variety cultivated, because at this stage they already have roots and leaves.

Lettuce, for example, is the variety that needs more space, 20 to 25 centimeters in average between the seedlings.

Step 4 - Harvest

When the vegetables arrive at this stage, the harvesting process begins, obeying a standard commercial size of sales, taking into account the quality of each vegetable, the volume of leaves, appearance and the freshness.

Step 5 - Packaging

After the harvest, the vegetables are removed from the gutters and packed in cellophane bags with holes to breathe, which also serve to prevent water retention in the packaging.

Its conservation lasts on average 4 to 5 days, ensuring the quality of the foot produced, prolonging a few days more, if kept in a refrigerated environment.

Step 6 - Warranty

The entire cultivation process is monitored daily with measurements of temperature, pH, luminosity control, use of drinking water and essential nutrients to ensure good growth of the seedlings. In addition to the clean and airy environment, we have a biological control of possible pests with the use of ladybugs as a natural predator, and specific insect traps.

With this, Agro-OiC has the commitment to providing a healthier life by producing vegetables of the highest quality and flavor.
